Lesson11 指示代詞

表示“這個、那個、這些、那些”指向性的代詞為指示代詞，常見的指示代詞有 this，that，these，those。

1. 四個指示代詞的區別

（1）this，these 指在時間或空間上離說話人較近的人或物

☆ This is a duck. 這是一只鴨。

☆ These are her roses on this desk.

這些在這張桌子上的是她的玫瑰。

☆ I haven’t seen you these days.

最近一直沒見你了。

（2）that，those 指在時間或空間上離說話人較遠的人或物

☆ That is a chicken.

那是一只雞。

☆ Those are your books on that desk.

那些在那張桌子上的是你的書。

☆ I’ll never forget those days when we enjoyed ourselves last summer.

我永遠不會忘記去年夏天我們盡情享受的那些日子。

（3）指示代詞的單數和復數

this，that 指代的是單數名詞或不可數名詞。

these，those 指代的是復數名詞。

This/That is a book. 這/那是一本書。These/Those are books.

這/那些是書。

2. 指示代詞的用法

（1）在句子中作主語、賓語和定語等

☆ These are my boots. 這些是我的靴子。（指示代詞 these 在句中作主語）

☆ I like that. 我喜歡那個。（指示代詞 that 在句中作賓語）

☆ This book is mine. 這本書是我的。（指示代詞 this 在句中作定語）

（2）用于介紹別人或指代提及之事

☆ Hello, everyone. This is Lisa. She is my classmate.

大家好，這是麗薩，她是我的同學。

this 和 these 也用于指代接下來要說的內容。

☆ Please remember this: practice makes perfect. 請記住：熟能生巧。

that 和 those 用來指代上文提到的事。

☆ He went to the doctor’s. That’s why he didn’t go to school this morning.

他去醫院了，那就是他今早沒去學校的原因。

（3）用于電話術語

this 指自己，that 指對方。

☆ --Hello! This is Lisa speaking. Who is that? 你好！我是麗薩，你是誰？

--Tom speaking. 我是湯姆。

問句中有指示代詞 this 或 that 時，在回答時要用人稱代詞 it 代替，用they 代替 these 和 those。
