Abstract

Jiang Fan（1761—1830）was a famous scholar who lived during the qianlong and jia qing dynasties of the qing dynasty.He is Hui Dong's reincarnated disciple which mean to learned from the master of great learning and integrity in Wu school，so he was follow close to the tenet about “when we reading six book，we don't doubt that Zheng Xuan's explanation is wrong；When we do anything，we should regard Zhu Zixue's thought as the criterion”.By this way，he was so respected the “Han school” but did not ignore the “Song School” that had wrote some monograph like “The recording of the Succession of Teachings From a Master to Disciples in Han School”“The Text of ‘經師’and ‘經義’ in this history” ang “the recording of the origin on song classical learning”.These books were written in imitation of “Biography of Confucianism”“Artistic records” in “Han Shu”.The two “recording” can reflect the author's understanding and summary to academic condition for his livingera.In these book，the author had completed the construction of the academic history system in the early Qing Dynasty.So it's become the first literature to be consulted when scholar will research on the development of academic thougth in the past two century.Compare with “The recording of the Succession of Teachings From a Master to Disciples in Han School”，although this book is the frist true significance work of History of Neo Confucianism in Qing dynasty，the author's writing is rather hasty，simple and even errors.The root cause of these errors is the author's serious sectarianism.The article research on academic history with the method of traditional philology to make annotations and textual work such as search the historical source，explore the similarities and differences，delete the false，supply the omission and even express the author's opinions and textual research in the corresponding places for full text which in line with the objective of seeking truth from facts.And then，the purpose of the study is to make the content on the persons and matters of early Qing Dynasty's Neo-Confucianism in the book more accurate and rich for the convenience of scholars' reference and use.So the research is helpful in deepen understanding about the monographic study on Jiang Fan's thought，Academic ecology in the context of the controversy between Han and Song school，espically for the development of Neo Confucianism in early Qing Dynasty.
