Time for action - attaching the fork prop
- Import the grill fork that is located in the Code Bundle on the book page if you haven't downloaded it already.
- Attach the grill fork to the left hand of the male character.
- Scale the fork to 125% or whatever size you desire.
- Select the male character. Right-click on the character and in the right-click menu choose Motion Menu, then on the submenu.
- Select the left hand from the right side menu and double-click on Hold Stick from the left side Content Manager menu.

What just happened?
Our character needed a fork so we imported a custom fork, which is included in the code bundle located on the book page at the Packt Publishing website. We then used a premade Hand Motion, Hold Stick, to appear to grasp the stick.
We will go further into animations and motions in the next chapter. Now that we've properly attached and modified the glasses and the grilling fork our characters are starting to look more like a couple enjoying the outdoors.
Interacting with the iProps
We are going to have our male character pick up the beer to demonstrate how interactive (iProps) work.
In order for the character to interact with the prop the character needs to:
- Be at terrain height
- Or the character must be standing on an object that has been added to the terrain
This is important. Otherwise, the character will jump down to terrain level to grasp the beer can and will seem to disappear, when in fact it's dropped down below the porch or part way through the porch.
With Deckhouse A selected, right-click and choose Add to Terrain from the popup menu.
We have now let the iClone engine know that the floor level of the house is now a part of the terrain.
