Placing props
There are several methods place props in to the iClone workspace:
The simplest method of placing props in to the iClone workspace is to left-click and hold down the left mouse button on the thumbnail of the prop in the Content Manager. You can then release the mouse button anywhere in the iClone workspace to drop the prop into the scene. The following image shows dragging and dropping the Robo Dog_A prop into the workspace. The prop will appear in the location of the thumbnail image that was dropped into the workspace. This next image is an example of drag-and-drop from the Content Manager to the workspace:

Be aware that due to the workspace being three-dimensional, you may not have dropped the prop exactly where you wanted it. You will need to rotate the view to see where the prop is actually located in the workspace.
Drag-and-drop from a Windows Explorer window works in the same manner as drag-and-drop from the Content Manager. Both are easy and fast methods to get the prop into the workspace near your intended target area. In single monitor configurations, you can open a smaller explorer window and use Alt-Tab to toggle back-and-forth between it and iClone. You can then drag-and-drop from the smaller explorer window directly into the workspace. Multiple monitor configurations make this even easier by placing the explorer window on another monitor.
Double clicking on the prop in the Content Manager will place the prop squarely into the middle of the 3D workspace, which can then be selected and moved by the proper tools in the top toolbar, or use the Ctrl + Q shortcut for toggling the Gizmo on-and-off.
Importing the prop into the workplace using the Import button in the Modify panel, works the same as double-clicking on the prop. The prop will be loaded into the center of the workspace.
Note
After importing props with embedded animation, you may sometimes find that you need to right-click on the prop and select the Remove All Animation menu choice to set all animations back to their original state. Content purchased from Reallusion either in the Content Store or the Marketplace have their animations reset and must be triggered with the right-click on Perform menu choice.
