Frustrations
Technology has evolved really in the recent years, but users are still learning how to carry out tasks with a computer. Even those who use technology on a daily basis may find certain tasks too complex or tedious. All users have frustrations that affect their daily work. Knowing and understanding their frustrations and how those frustrations impact their progress with the system is a key point to research at this stage. If we understand why the system is not easy to use, or why the user feels that the system should be nicer or quicker, we will be able to redesign or improve how it interacts with them.
Here are some examples of possible frustrations:
- The process is too complex or too long for a simple task
- The language used in the system does not match the field language
- I do not have help or indications when I need them
- The system is always changing
