6.4　Installation of Protective Plates

6.4.1　Buckstays shall be subjected to check and acceptance before installation，and shall be in compliance with the following requirements:

1　Corners around the protective plate shall be smooth and transitional，and shall not have flanges and acute angles；

2　The casting surface of the protective plate shall be flat and smooth，and shall not have defects of sand holes，honeycombs，pores，flash，bumps，etc；

3　The measured value of the geometrical size of the protective plate shall meet the requirements of design documents；

4　The construction of the thermal insulation material of the protective plate lining shall meet the requirements of design documents.

6.4.2　Before the installation of the protective plate，the elevation of the oven shoulder at the bottom of the coking chamber handed over during oven building shall be checked and shall meet the requirements of design documents.

6.4.3　The model，specification and ignition loss of sealing filler shall meet the requirements of design documents.

6.4.4　Sealing filler between the protective plate and the masonry shall be tight，the amount of compression of the sealing filler shall meet the requirements of design documents，and when the 1mm feeler gauge is inserted，the length of continuous insertion shall not be larger than 100.0mm.

6.4.5　The overlapping length of sealing filler between the protective plate and the masonry shall not less than 90.0mm.

6.4.6　The installation of the protective plate shall be in compliance with the following requirements:

1　The protective plate shall be vertically hoisted to be installed from the upper end；

2　The side of the protective plate must not be bulged out of the wall of the coking chamber；

3　Distance between the adjacent protective plates and the oven wall of the coking chamber shall be adjusted uniformly.

6.4.7　When the Class A construction technology is adopted，the installation of the protective plate shall be in compliance with the following requirements:

1　The center of oven bank is adjusted，and allowable deviation shall be 3.0mm；

2　Elevation is adjusted，and allowable deviation shall be±2.0mm；

3　After the protective plate is fastened under the pressure，the allowable deviation of gap between the adjacent protective plate shall be，and the protective plates shall be on the same vertical plane，and allowable deviation shall be 5.0mm.

6.4.8　When the Class B construction technology is adopted，the installation of the protective plate shall be in compliance with the following requirements:

1　The installation accuracy of buckstays shall be re-inspected before the installation of the protective plate，and shall meet the requirements of article 6.2.6 of this code；

2　The gap of the protective plates in the oven length direction is adjusted，and allowable deviation shall be

3　The gap of the protective plates in the oven bank direction is adjusted，and allowable deviation shall be±2.0mm；

4　The elevation of the protective plate is adjusted，and allowable deviation shall be±2.0mm.
