3.2.1　lntroduction　簡介

In the apparel company, cutting and manufacturing of products is planned on orders or on a forecast of these orders. These activities are done within the purchas-ing, manufacturing and production control departments.49

In order to produce a style, the purchasing department must have ordered and ensured delivery of necessary materials. Production control must have been sched-uled into the factory plan and ensure that other functional departments involved in the process of producing this product are aware of its requirements.50The manufac-turing department must have ensured its capacity.And get enough labor and machin-ery.In order to accomplish these tasks, the personnel and engineering departments have become involved in staffing, and ensuring all equipment is available.

After goods have been finished and sent to the warehouse, the order may be released for shipment to the customer. From this point, the distribution center begins to process the order.In order to meet the customer's requirements, the distribution center must be aware of the destination and shipping date of the order.Then it must prepare staff for picking and packing goods.Once goods are completed, they are transferred to the warehouse.Through the in-process monitoring system, which has tracked work through the production cycle, the production control department and the warehouse are notified.

3.2.2　Example Analysis　案例分析

From the preceding overview of the production functions and activities, we can see how the various functions interrelate and how the uses of a computer system to monitor and control this work, and simplify the communications between the various areas are involved.51The production order indicates the working procedure and other details.The following information should be shown out：

（3）Color assortment.

（4）Size distribution&size specification.

（5）Shipping marks&packing method.

（6）Delivery date and other production detail.
