情景對話
Steven: Could you take me to the International Airport?
史蒂文：你能載我到國際機場嗎？
Taxi driver: OK. Please get in. I'm glad to serve you.

Steven: Can we get there within half an hour? I am in a hurry. My flight is taking off.

Taxi driver: OK, I promise we'll get there in half an hour.

?in a hurry表示“著急，急切”的意思，相當于quickly, hastily, eagerly等詞。
David: Sir, I'm in a hurry. Would you like to drive faster?
大衛(wèi)：先生，我趕時間。您能開快點嗎？
Taxi driver: I know, but this is the highest speed. We should put safety first.
出租車司機：我知道，但是這已經(jīng)是最快的速度了。我們應(yīng)該把安全放在第一位。
David: OK, but can we take a shortcut? My flight will begin to check in after 30 minutes.
大衛(wèi)：好吧，但是我們能抄近道嗎？我（乘坐）的航班在30分鐘后就開始檢票了。
Taxi diver: Don't worry. We will arrive there in time.
出租車司機：不要擔(dān)心。我們會及時到達的。
?in time意為“及時”，指時間還很充裕，經(jīng)常用在句尾，相當于副詞；而on time則表示“按時”的意思，指恰好在規(guī)定的時間。
Taxi driver: Please be seated and fasten your seat belt.
出租車司機：請坐好并系好您的安全帶。
Wendy: I'm ready; let's go.
溫蒂：我已經(jīng)準備好了，我們出發(fā)吧。
(After 45 minutes, the taxi arrived at the destination)

?keep the change的意思是“零錢不用找了”，是顧客在付賬時經(jīng)常說的話。在西方國家，坐出租車也習(xí)慣給司機小費。
Mary: Excuse me, could you tell me where I can take a car?
瑪麗：打擾了，請問我在哪兒能乘坐出租車？
David: You can wait outside the gate. It's rush hour now; there's usually a lot of traffic at this time every day.

?rush hour是名詞性短語，意為“高峰期”，通常與介詞in或at連用。
