——詹天佑廣場

Zhan Tianyou Square

詹天佑廣場，位于哈爾濱市南崗區(qū)西大直街與復(fù)興街交口處，哈爾濱鐵路局對面。廣場的面積雖不大，卻非常有紀(jì)念意義，它是由哈爾濱鐵路局組織建設(shè)的，為緬懷詹天佑先生對中國鐵路事業(yè)做出的突出功績，繼承和弘揚(yáng)他愛國、創(chuàng)新、自力更生、艱苦奮斗的精神。塑像靜靜地矗立在廣場中央，廣場兩側(cè)有火車造型的浮雕墻，這一造型的靈感來源于 1989 年第一臺駛?cè)牍枮I的蒸汽機(jī)車，浮雕中的內(nèi)容則生動地再現(xiàn)了哈爾濱鐵路發(fā)展的開端和歷史進(jìn)程。

Zhan Tianyou Square is located at the intersection of Xidazhi Street and Fuxing Street in Nangang District, opposite the Harbin Railway Bureau. Although the square is not large, it holds great significance. It was organized and constructed by the Harbin Railway Bureau in memory of Mr. Zhan Tianyou’s outstanding contributions to the railway industry in China, and to inherit and promote his spirit of patriotism, innovation,self-reliance, and hard work. A statue of Zhan Tianyou stands quietly in the center of the square, flanked by relief walls shaped like trains. This design is inspired by the fi rst steam locomotive that entered Harbin in 1989, and the reliefs vividly depict the beginning and historical progress of the railway development in Harbin.
