【雙語例句】

誠實加苦干有助于成功和收獲幸福。

【用法解析】

“contribute”作不及物動詞時，其后常加介詞“to”。“contribute”作“有助于，促使（發生某情況）”解時，主語一般是事物。

2.encounter　n.邂逅；遭遇　v.遭遇；偶然碰到

【雙語例句】

Otherwise，we will encounter grave difficulties.

否則我們將遇到極大的困難。

【用法解析】

“encounter”用作動詞的基本意思是“遇到，遭遇”，通常指遭遇困難或麻煩等，還可指未曾想到會遇見但卻遇見了，即“偶然碰到”。

相關短語有“telephone booth（電話亭）”和“ticket booth（售票亭）”等。

Tips　什么是廣交會

中國進出口商品交易會，簡稱廣交會，每年春秋兩季在廣州舉辦，由商務部和廣東省人民政府聯合主辦，中國對外貿易中心承辦。廣交會是中國目前歷史最長、層次最高、規模最大、商品種類最全、到會采購商最多且分布國家和地區最廣、成交效果最好的綜合性國際貿易盛會。

廣交會貿易方式靈活多樣，以出口貿易為主，還可以開展多種形式的經濟技術合作與交流，以及商檢、保險、運輸、廣告、咨詢等業務活動。

Unit 3　展會后的聯絡往來　Contacting after Fairs

在展會結束后，外貿業務員也要繼續跟進客戶。在郵件中，要提示對方相關信息，喚起對方記憶。然后附上豐富的資料，引起對方興趣。

常用詞匯　Vocabulary

1.stall　n.小隔間；貨攤

市場攤位的開設受市政法令限制。

【用法解析】

“stall”作動詞是“拖延”的意思，如“Quit stalling！（不要拖延時間）”。在展銷會上的攤位也可稱為“booth”。

2.pity　n.憐憫；同情；遺憾；可惜　v.同情；憐憫

【雙語例句】

It's a pity that I have to back to work.

遺憾的是我不得不回去工作。

【用法解析】

“pity”作“可惜的事，令人遺憾的事”解時，為可數名詞，但往往只用于單數形式，常用于“It is/was a pity…”結構，有時還可以把“it is”省去，直接用“pity”作為句子的開頭。

3.for your reference　供你（你們）參考

【雙語例句】

I am enclosing my resume for your reference.

謹附上履歷表一份，以作為參考。

【用法解析】

在郵件中，除了“for your reference”，常用的表達“供參考”的短語還有“for your information”，常縮寫為“FYI”，放在郵件正文末尾。
