秦代的兵馬俑是中國極具代表性的歷史符號，是威武、剛強和忠誠的象征，而布滿朱雀等祥瑞圖案的大門則暗含著國門之意。作者轉借兵馬俑的造型，將“武裝”與“護衛”兩種意象并置畫面之中，以物喻人，暗含了對中華傳統“以和為貴”精神內核的思考與解讀。在形式上，將中國傳統文化、民間藝術用西畫技巧予以表現，用油畫傳達東方詩意。

The terracotta warriors of the Qin Dynasty are one of China's most important historical symbols, representing power, staunchness and loyalty. The gate in the painting, with auspicious imagery such as rosefinches, represents the gate of our country. Borrowing the imagery of the terracotta warriors, the artist put both “armament” and “guardian” inside a painting, embodying and interpreting traditional Chinese concept of harmony. In terms of painting techniques, the artist creates a Western painting to portray traditional Chinese culture and Chinese folk art, where the Oriental poetic sentiment is conveyed by the oil painting.
