Foreword

Following the requirements of Notice on Printing the Development and Revision Plan of National Engineering Construction Standards in 2011（Jian Biao〔2011〕No.17）issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development，the code compilation organizations develop the Code based on intensive investigation and study，summary of practice experiences，review of relevant prominent international standards，and extensive consultation.

The code comprises 14 chapters and supplementary commentary on the provisions.The main technical contents include:General Provisions；Terms and Symbols；Materials；Basic Requirements；Calculation for Ultimate Limit States in Persistent Situations；Calculation for Serviceability Limit States in Persistent Situations；Structure and Detailing；Fabrication of Steel Tubes of Arch Ribs；Welding；Corrosion Protection Coating；Erection of Steel Tube Arch Ribs；Filling of Concrete；Construction of Other Structures；Maintenance.

The provisions that are printed in bold type are mandatory provisions and must be enforced strictly.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Developments is in charge of the administration of the Code and the explanation of the mandatory provisions.Fuzhou University is responsible for the explanation of specific technical contents.All relevant organizations are kindly requested to feedback any questions，comments and suggestions associated with the implementation of the Code by the management group of the Code in College of Civil Engineering at Fuzhou University（Address:No.2 Xueyuan Road，University Town，Minhou，F(xiàn)uzhou，F(xiàn)ujian 350108，China）.
