5.3　Node Connection Design

5.3.1　Each member of steel tower and mast shall be connected with bolts and assembled on site.Local parts，such as tower base plate，flange plate and steel tube，steel tube and gusset plate shall be welded outside the sit.

5.3.2　The shear，tension and bearing capacity of bolts with which the members are connected shall be checked；the shear，tension and compression bearing capacities of welds shall be checked.The connection is calculated in accordance with GB 50017-2003 Code for Design of Steel Structures.

5.3.3　For the structural member welding of steel tower and mast，the quality grade of butt weld with same strength as the major member shall not be less than grade 2，and other butt welds and fillet welds shall not be less than grade 3.
