Time for action - customizing the head of the avatar
The following image highlights the choices made to load the slim head morph:

What just happened?
We slimmed down the facial structure to match the slim body we loaded earlier. The regular size face was out of proportion for the body.
Have a go hero - customizing the avatar's face
Save your project. Instead of specific instructions, it's time to experiment with the face features.
Go through the various sections like brow, eyes, nose, and see what is available. Experiment with the sliders and if you don't like what you've done you can use the Reset button to reset that particular section.
The following image shows some of the sections devoted to facial modification:

Use these buttons along with the sliders available in each section to make unique changes to the facial structure of the character. In this case, we narrowed the Cheeks using the slider. Though it's not shown the chin was made longer under the Chin section. This is where iClone flexes some of its muscle. Time spent here will pay dividends later if you are looking to create a unique or different character from stock. We are not going to spend any more time modifying the face but you can come back anytime during your work on this project or others to further tweak the facial features. When you are finished with your experimentation, either reopen the project you saved before experimenting or if you like your results then save the project again to save the changes.
The detail panel triggered by clicking on the Detail button is a very powerful feature, in that you can push and pull the various points shown to further customize the face. In this case, the chin was pushed up a little but you are encouraged again to experiment here. Use the Reset button if you don't like the results:

Views include front, left, and right. There is a Mirror checkbox to speed up facial sculpting by mirroring what you are doing to both sides of the head. It cannot be stressed enough how powerful and important this detail panel is to custom facial sculpting. To create pointed ears or a blunt nose or sharpen the eye sockets you can simply sculpt them by moving the points in the detail window. Select multiple points while holding the Ctrl key. Click on the eraser icon to release selected control points. Click on the left or right button to change face views.
This is another area of iClone that Reallusion has worked hard at to give us a lot of control and power over the final look of our characters.
