Putting things together

HoloLens is a fully untethered wearable device, running on Windows 10 with three built-in high end processors: a CPU, a GPU, and a special HPU. All the processing units, cameras, sensors, speakers, memory, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth are intelligently placed within the device. A special vent works to keep it cool.

To summarize, holographic lenses are transparent so that you can see the real world behind the virtual world blended together. Holographic objects are the light particles, which bounce around millions of time to render the objects. Depth Camera uses infrared depth-sensing vision to draw the digitalized surroundings by measuring the distances and depth. It has a field of vision that spans 120 by 120 degrees. Sensors understand the real environment and digitalize the information captured from the environments. Sensors also track where we are looking and adjust the display accordingly. The sensors can also detect hand gestures.

Processing units are the heart of the HoloLens. It contains the CPU, GPU, and HPU, which process terabytes of data every second. The two built-in speakers attached to the device product floating sounds and an array of four microphones is used to capture the user's voice clearly irrespective of the environment. The device is more powerful than a laptop. The vent maintains cool air flows to the sides to keep the device within the normal temperature. Buttons on the sides allow us to adjust volume and control the contrast in the hologram.
