Hands-on exercise for adding permission in a Profile

In this exercise, we are going to grant Create and Customize Reports permission to a custom Profile called Sales Ops. Assume that the profile has been created earlier.

1. Click on the Setup gear icon in the top-left menu, as shown in the following screenshot:

1. Click on Users from the left menu, then on the Profiles submenu.
2. Find the profile name--in this exercise, we will use the Sales Ops profile (it may be different in yours)--then click on the Edit link before the profile name.

1. Scroll down, and look for Create and Customize Reports permission. It is available under the Administrative Permissions section. Select the checkbox to grant permission. Consider the following screenshot:

1. Click on the Save button and it is done.

All users within that profile will now be able to run the report.
