3.2　Steel

3.2.1　The rust grade of the steel surface shall meet the requirements of"Rust Grades and Preparation Grades of Steel Surfaces before Application of Paints and Related Products"(GB/T 8923).

3.2.2　The surface appearance quality of steel shall not only meet the requirements of relevant national standards,but also shall meet the following requirements:

1　If such defects as rust,pockmarks or scratches are found on the steel surface,the depth hereof shall not be larger than 1/2 of the allowable negative deviation of the steel thickness.

2　The end side or fracture of the steel shall be free from such defects as lamination or slag inclusion.

3.2.3　As for steel,the sampling reinspection shall be carried out if one of the following conditions exists,and the reinspection result shall meet the product standard of the Nation and design requirements:

1　If there are reinspection requirements in the design.

2　If there is doubt in the quality.

3.2.4　The steel shall be kept properly and the steel of different specifications and materials shall not be mixed.

3.2.5　The stainless steel shall be stored by taking anti-carburizing measures.
