引言段方法一

是把讀者/考官引到一個充滿趣味的地方（也就是你要用一個比較有趣的話題先吊起人們的胃口，并吸引他們往下看）。在此，我推薦第一個用于“重述”的句型，即全文的開頭句套路是：

The issue of……is of great interest to many people.

該句型中的其他文字都相對固定，而中間的省略號部分則是大家必須結合特定的話題而進行靈活變動的。舉個例子吧，請大家看下面的一道雅思寫作題：

Many schools demand the students to wear uniforms.Some people think that such a practice can undermine their personality and individuality.What is your opinion?

這顯然是一個具有爭議性的話題：學生穿校服是否會影響他們的性格或破壞他們的個性？句型中介詞of后面除了用一般的名詞或名詞詞組之外，還可以用一個whether引導出的從句：

這一段翻譯過來是“關于要求學生穿校服是否會影響到他們的性格和個性的問題引起了很多人的興趣?！贝蠹铱梢砸荒苛巳坏乜吹?，句型套路只占了整個句子的一小部分，還是有相當大的空間留出來給寫作者進行自由發揮和靈活創造的。更為重要的是你完全可以借用部分題中的原詞（例如practice, personality, individuality），然后對其他的關鍵詞進行同義詞的轉換：demand→require, undermine→affect，這樣既有模仿又有創新的寫法是雅思寫作中最完美的結合。其實雅思寫作中并不需要很大的詞匯量以及那些特別深奧的詞匯，只需要考生有較強的換詞能力。

細心的讀者會注意到，上述句型中的文字“相對”固定，也就是說即便是套路句型，也可以進行靈活的變換和運用，并產生無窮豐富的替換句型。首先，我們可以在主語位置將issue變成topic，然后把句子中間的interest換作concern，最后根據特定話題，把較為籠統的people改為更貼切的parents：

The topic of……is of great concern for many parents.

The topic of whether it is appropriate and effective to use corporal punishment on young children is of great concern for many parents.

上一句翻譯過來是“關于對小孩子進行體罰是否恰當及有效的這個話題引起了許多父母的關注?！毕嗨频氖?，subject, importance, scientists也能成為一個絕妙的組合：

The subject of……is of great importance to many scientists.

The subject of how to find solutions to many problems created by the rapid development of today’s high technology is of great importance to many scientists.

這一句翻譯過來是“如何解決由當今科技的迅速發展所產生的問題，這樣的話題對很多科學家來說是至關重要的。”下面我們根據兩道雅思寫作的真題，并結合剛才“重述”套路，來給出一個完整的引言段。

Some people think that universities should provide graduates with the knowledge and skills needed in the workplace in the future.Others think that the true function of university is to give access to knowledge for its own sake.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

The issue of whether universities should provide"pure"knowledge or work-related knowledge and skills is of great interest to many educators.To my way of thinking, both sides of the argument can be justified to a certain extent, and we need to look into the issue more thoroughly and thought fully to understand the controversy.

該段的重述部分對套路句型略作修改，把原來的people變為educators，使之更符合教育話題，并在套路中采用whether……or……的選擇句式，把pure knowledge與work-related knowledge and skills進行對比，從而把原題中正、反雙方（即some people和others）的觀點擺了出來。

接下來的中心論點以固定詞組to my way of thinking引出，指出雙方在某種程度上都有一定的理由（be justified to a certain extent），并需要對該問題進行更徹底、更詳盡地研究（look into the issue more thoroughly and thoughtfully）。我們可把整句話看作一種固定的寫作套句，只要是“探討雙方型”（Discuss both sides）的題型，我們都可以把它當作中心論點寫在重述句之后。

我們再來看一道與環保有關的雅思寫作考題及其開頭段的范例：

Some people think that individuals can do nothing to improve the environment and that only governments and large companies can make a difference.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this view?

The topic of who are in the position to change our natural environment for the better is of great concern for the general public.To my mind, while governments and large companies certainly play an essential role, individuals can also contribute to the cause of environmental protection in a significant way.

與上一段相似的是，該引言段也化用了套路，把最后的many parents換作the general public（公眾，民眾），注意中間的change our natural environment for the better 就是原題中的improve the environment。中心論點部分以To my mind帶出，指出政府和大企業的確可起到關鍵的作用（certainly play an essential role），而個人也能為環境保護做出重大的貢獻（contribute to the cause of environmental protection in a significant way）。

接下來，我們用discussion代替原先的issue, topic, subject，然后把句末的人物概念變成國家。

The discussion about……is of great significance to both industrialized and underdeveloped nations.

The discussion about the most efficient way to give financial and technological assistance to the Third World is of great significance to both industrialized and underdeveloped nations.

上一句翻譯過來是“關于什么方式能最有效地給予第三世界國家以經濟和技術援助，這樣的探討對于工業化的發達國家和發展中國家都是非常重要的?！?/p>

在接下來的替換句型里面，我們除了用較為新穎的question作為主語之外，還做了一個大膽而正確的嘗試，即把前面相對固定的be of great+N.的結構換成be a matter of much contention這樣一種地道的表達方式，并將句尾的受眾擴大為整個general public：

The question of……is a matter of much contention among the general public.

拓展句型：

The problem……has been widely debated in the world of politics.

The inquiry into……has triggered an intense controversy in the realm of science.
