Civic Culture: A Research Perspective of Citizen Engagement

Abstract: The study of civic culture promoted the study of the relationship between political culture and the stability of democratic politics. The definition of political culture, the framework of interpretation and empirical research are also evolving. As an approach to study democratic politics, civic culture research has gradually changed from the original macro perspective to microcosmic perspective. Specifically, how to raise the consciousness and ability of citizens to strategic engagement in political participation within the limited structure. This paper reviews the basic concepts and explanatory framework of political culture research, focusing on the meaning of diary engagement in the civil society organizations. The participation of civil society organizations contributes to the active citizenship and structured participation practice. The research of style, opportunities and structures

affect citizen's entrepreneurship civic engagement, and what basic strategies are formed are all worthy of empirical research attention.
