Abstract

Abstract：This book is based on the information database of “Belt and Road”，focused on analyzing Azerbaijani geopolitics and offering some references on enhancing the cooperation between China and Azerbaijan under the “Belt and Road” Initiative.There are five parts.First，introducing the basic information of Azerbaijan.Second，describing the energy resources，religious identity，post-communist heritage，and cultural modernization of Azerbaijan.Third，analyzing geopolitical role of Azerbaijan.Fourth，discussing the geostrategic security of Azerbaijan，including the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict，the particularity of Nakhichevan，the conditions about GUAM，the complicated game among great powers in Azerbaijan.Fifth，analyzing the position and prospect of Azerbaijan in the “Belt and Road” Initiative.The methodologies are mainly literature analysis，data analysis and comparative analysis.
