A Word from the Editor

In 2009，we compiled and translated into English the key laws，regulations and rules for radio，film and television，in the book China's Laws＆Regulations on Radio，F(xiàn)ilm and Television.Four years have passed，and China's radio，film and television industry，aswell as the construction developmentof its legal system have undergone significant changes andmade huge progress.Partial revision of existing radio，film and television laws and regulations，as well as the creation and promulgation of laws and regulations relating to radio，film and television，have improved and mademore complete the legal system regulating the radio，film and television industry.Under these new circumstances，in order to enhance the practicality，relevance and timeliness of the book and to facilitate exchange and cooperation in the international radio，film and television industry，we have compiled and published The Radio，F(xiàn)ilm and Television Laws＆Regulations of the People's Republic of China(2013 Edition).

This book contains a total of 51 current administrative regulations，judicial interpretations，departmental rules，laws and regulations relating to radio，film and television.For the convenience of readers，the book is bilingual(Chinese/English).The English versions of the laws and administrative regulations are official translations published by the national government，and the English versions of the judicial interpretations，departmental rules have been translated by our appointed experts.

The compilation of this book was organized by the Laws and Regulations Department of the State Administration of Radio，F(xiàn)ilm and Television.The official English translations for some of the newly amended laws，administrative regulations and departmental rules in this book have been provided by the Legislative Affairs Commission of the National People's Congress，the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council and the Ministry of Commerce，and additional translations have been provided and reviewed with the support and assistance of TransAsia Lawyers.We greatly appreciate the support and assistance provided by TransAsia Lawyers in translating part of and proofreading this book's contents.
