Communication in JSF is one of the most important aspects, since the entire application's flow spins around the capability of processing and sharing data between JSF components. As you have seen, there are many ways to pass/get parameters and to access managed beans from other managed beans, but choosing the right ones for obtaining a robust, harmonious, balanced application depends on experience.
