Working in layers
The Prezi canvas is made up of an infinite number of layers. While you cannot see the layers themselves, all elements (frames, images, texts, and everything else) on the canvas are actually placed in a separate layer. Consequently, all elements are in their own layer.
Working in layers is very much like creating a layered cake; the first element (frames, images, texts, and everything else) you add is placed in the bottom layer, the next one is placed in the layer above the first one, and so forth.
If two or more elements are placed in their own area of the canvas, we cannot see the layering. However, try placing an element in the exact same area as an existing element and you will notice that one element is on top of the other (fully or partially). The element on top will be the one that was inserted at a later point in time than the element below it (much like the icing on top of the cake that comes on last).
Getting ready
When an element is added to the canvas, we may need to change the element's position in order to make it look nicer, or to prevent it from blocking the view of the items below it.
In the following image, the order of the heart and the text needs to be changed:

Fortunately, it is easy to adjust the order that our elements have on the canvas.
How to do it...
Elements can be moved to control which elements are on top or below.
- Right-click on the element that you want to move to a different layer.
- On right-click, the menu opens.
- In this menu, choose Bring Forward to move the element one layer upwards or Bring to Front to bring the element all the way to the top layer.
- To move downwards, choose Send Backward to move the element downwards or Send to Back to move the element all the way to the bottom layer.
