Summary

In this chapter we learned about planning for cloud fabric for private cloud needs and service providers. We covered infrastructure planning at each layer starting from hardware to hypervisors, network and storage. Hyper-V deployment best practices were also covered which will help in deploying a reliable and stable hypervisor layer.

We learned about SCVMM and SPF architecture and has installation walkthrough for both products. We learned about planning and configuration of compute, network and storage for cloud fabric in SCVMM.

In the next chapter we will be covering installation and configuration of Windows Azure Pack portals, API's and authentication sites.
