In this chapter, we have seen what types of web services you have with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, and what types of protocols they use and we analyzed the differences between them. We have seen how to set up and activate web services in NAV by configuring the service tier and by publishing them from the Windows client, and then how to test whether all is working by using the browser.

After this chapter, you should have a complete knowledge of how to publish NAV business logic to the external applications.

In the next chapter, we'll see how to create an application that will use published NAV web services.
