Although OpenStack can be installed with a much lower hardware specification, in a production environment, you would likely need more redundancy and isolation of services so that the failure of one service will have very minimal impact on the cloud infrastructure. The figures mentioned in the table are the recommendation from the OpenStack Ansible project but we must also take into account the physical model design and the hardware sizing and hardware requirement estimation as discussed in Chapter 1, Designing OpenStack Cloud Architectural Consideration.
