How it works...
The project is using a DOCSIS abstraction layer to manage both DOCSIS itself and PCMM specific attributes, and stores/changes default QoS values applied by the service flow. This component is also responsible for adding or removing CTMS equipment. It provides northbound REST APIs specific to DOCSIS. The southbound component allows communication with CMTS, using the Common Open Policy Service (COPS) protocol. It fulfills the PCMM/COPS/PDP functionality defined here:
When creating the gate, you have the choice between three different types of classifier: the standard type (as used in this example), the extended type, and the IPv6 type.
