6LowPAN is a network protocol designed encapsulation and header compression mechanisms. It is frequently used among other protocols such as Ethernet or Wi-Fi, and the advantage of this protocol, is that it supports IPv6, which is the goal of almost everyone. Designed for home automation, it promises to produce complex control systems and to communicate with devices via a low power wireless network.
