Shortcomings of a public cloud

The public cloud has a few shortcomings, we call them the criticisms of the 3Cs. The 3Cs are: 

• Cost 
• Control/customizability
• Compliance

The preceding are common-sense, however let's look at a few case studies for each and discuss them.
