Creating the dashboard
Now that we have created the visualizations, we can create the dashboard using these visualizations. To create the dashboard, we need to click on the Dashboard link from the left menu, which will open the following screen:

This will show an empty screen with a Create a dashboard button, since we haven't created any dashboards yet. When we create dashboards, this screen will list the name and links of those dashboard along with a create dashboard link. Now we need to click on the Create a dashboard button, which will open the following screen:

This screen shows an empty page with a message that states, This dashboard is empty. Let's fill it up! To fill the visualizations, we need to click on the Add link from the top-right corner of the page. This will open the following screen:

This screen shows the list of visualizations that we have already created. Now we can pick the visualizations by clicking on them. For example, when I click on the log count visualization link, it adds the data metrics visualization of the log entries count to the dashboard, as seen in the following screenshot:

The dashboard is quite empty with a single visualization, so I am going to add the other visualization, a bar chart, by clicking on another visualization. As we can see in the following screenshot, both visualizations are on the dashboard:

We can see that there are two visualizations in our dashboard: one is data metrics and the other is a bar chart. We have the option to add as many visualizations as we want into our dashboard, and these visualizations can be of any type. So, now, we can save the dashboard so that we can use it later on. For that, we need to click on the Save button on the top-right corner, which will open the following screen:

For saving the dashboard, we have two text boxes: one for the dashboard title and the other for the description. We can fill in these details, and click on the Save button to save the dashboard. After saving the dashboard, we can visualize it in the following screen:

After creating the dashboard, we can search, filter, or embed it into any existing website. There are lot of things we can do using the dashboard, which I will be covering in later chapters. For now, though, let's customize the dashboard.
