The Arduino breakout board for Edison was also released by Intel, which provides the same standard pin interface used by Arduino modules and is compatible with Arduino shields. Since you can use the standard Arduino IDE, compatible libraries, connectors, and shields, the Intel Edison Arduino breakout board is a great interface for prototyping and running Arduino sketches.
