Loading data from data sources

The first decision that we have to make when we create a Qlik Sense application is how we load our data. Once you press the Create new app button and name your application, a prompt like this appears:

As we can see, we have two different ways of loading data:

• Add data from files and other sources: This option will trigger Data manager, which is a wizard that will guide you during the whole process of data loading. Behind the scenes, the Data manager creates a script for every option or step you take during the usage of the wizard. This script can be edited later using the Script editor if you want or need to change something that can be done using the wizard.
• Script editor: This is a text editor where your script is written. This has access to all functions and other features for data loading.
