Name format

In Name format, you can choose whether people should be referred to by their first or last name at Gmail by default. If desired, users can choose to change this for their accounts.

This setting in not applied to names written in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean so members from these countries don't need to worry about their names being scrambled.
