Downloading and installing Android Studio

Android Studio is the development environment and sandbox for Android app development. All our Android projects will be made using Android Studio. We can use Android Studio to create, design, and test our apps before publishing them. 

Head over to the official Android Studio download page, https://developer.android.com/studio/, and choose the version that matches your OS. In this case, we are using a Windows executable:

Run the executable once it is downloaded to start the installation process. You will be presented with progressive installation menu choices. Choose Next and progress through the installation process. Most of the options are chosen as default during the installation steps.
