Glacier is the lowest storage class in S3. It is an extremely inexpensive archival solution that takes advantage of Amazon's vast capacity. The read limitations are quite severe as it is intended to be accessed infrequently. Take advantage of Glacier for your audit and compliance storage requirements as it is designed for durability (lack of data loss).
