Summary

In this chapter, we've dived right in to data analysis. We've seen how easy it is to load new data, to configure visualizations, and to use the various drill-down, filtering, and trellising features to gain fresh insights from any dataset. We've also experienced (and solved) some real-world data issues along the way.

I have also explained the different types of Spotfire client and used examples from web-based and desktop clients. Spotfire is hugely capable on any platform—I'm looking forward to showing you many more exciting and useful things you can do with it!

This chapter was an introduction to visual analytics in Spotfire. Let's build on that foundation in the next chapter to gain an understanding of how data underpins all analytics.
