About the author

Chicago-born, Iowa-raised, Los Angeles-seasoned, and now New York City-flavored, Sonyl Nagale started his career as a graphic designer focusing on web, which led down the slippery slope to becoming a full-stack technologist instead. With an eye toward the client use case and conversation with the creative side, he prides himself on taking a holistic approach to software engineering. Having worked at start-ups and global media companies using a variety of languages and frameworks, he likes solving new and novel challenges. Passionate about education, he's always excited to have great teachable moments complete with laughter and seeing the “Aha!” moments in students’ eyes.

Emmanuel Demey works with the JavaScript ecosystem on a daily basis. He spends his time sharing his knowledge with anyone and everyone. His first goal at work is to help the people he works with. He has spoken at numerous French conferences (including DevFest Nantes, DevFest Toulouse, Sunny Tech, and Devoxx France) about topics related to the web platform, such as JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React.js, and Vue.js), accessibility, and Nest.js. He has been a trainer for 10 years at Worldline and Zenika (two French consulting companies). He is also the co-leader of the Google Developer Group de Lille and the co-organizer of the DevFest Lille conference.

Gil Goncalves is a software engineer who has worked with multiple programming languages, but the longest affair has been with Python. He has worked in a variety of companies from multiple fields in his 11 years in the tech industry. He's given talks at many conferences about code, tools, and engineering careers. He plays video games, dabbles in various hobbies, makes a mean sourdough bread, writes code, and organizes and attends meetups and conferences about programming.
