Summary

In this chapter, we have installed a local version of DotNetNuke using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Studio and covered how to set the correct permissions on our machine as well as where to find the procedures needed to upgrade from previous versions of DotNetNuke. We finished by changing the default passwords for the Host and Admin accounts. In the chapters that follow, we will explore all the features that are available to you as an admin or host user of the site. We will cover the modules and standard features that make DotNetNuke one of the fastest-growing web portals on the market today.
