The License Agreement

The license type used by the DotNetNuke project is a modified version of the BSD (Berkeley Software Distribution) license. As opposed to the more restrictive GPL (GNU General Public License) used by many other open-source projects, the BSD license is very permissive and imposes very few conditions on what a user can do with the software; this includes charging clients for binary distributions, with no obligation to include source code.
