Summary

In this chapter you have learned everything about courses and categories. As we have discovered, courses are key to Moodle since all content, no matter what type, prepared by teachers and learned by students is situated in courses. Even Moodle’s front page is a course, but we will deal with this later when we customize the look and feel of your VLE.

Closely related to courses is the enrolment of students. It is important that you understand the difference between enrolment, which we covered in this chapter, and authentication, which we will discuss in great detail in the following chapter.
