Edit all parts of a page

Click the Edit tab in the green toolbar to enter the Edit Page mode. In this mode, you will be able to change the content of all of the three fields for a page (Title, Description, and Body Text) just like you could when you first created the page. Remember to click on Save at the bottom when you are done editing, or Cancel if you don't want to keep your changes.

Edit a single part of a page

Let's say you just want to make a quick change to one of the page fields, such as correcting a spelling error in the Description. Plone provides a way for you to make the change without having to enter the full Edit Page mode.

When viewing the page that you want to edit, simply hover your mouse pointer over the page field that you wish to edit and notice the border that appears. Simply press the left mouse button once to edit only that part of the page. Both the Save and Cancel buttons appear for your use.

Editing the HTML of a page

If you are familiar with HTML, you can edit the raw underlying HTML of the Body Text field. Click on the HTML button, and you'll be able to view and edit the HTML of your page body. Simply click on the same button again to switch back to the normal graphical editing mode.

Using full screen mode

The full screen mode expands the editor window to take up the full width of your computer monitor. Some people prefer to edit in this mode because they find it easier to concentrate on just the text they are editing, instead of looking at the body text in the context of the rest of the elements on the page. Keep in mind that the layout you see in full screen mode will change when the page is saved. Switching to full screen mode does not change the actual width of the body text.
