Integrating with external authentication providers

You can integrate Content Server with Windows Active Directory and other LDAP authentication providers, so the user doesn't need to authenticate again. The user's group membership within LDAP then determines his/her permissions in the Content Server.

To set up this integration, you will need to understand the Content Server security model. (I will be covering that in detail in Chapter 4.) The actual integration is covered in detail in the Managing Security and User Access guide, available from the Oracle UCM online documentation page.
