Rainier Varilla has been the technical lead on many software opportunities at large and small accounts as a Collaboration Specialist. Rainier Varilla has been engaged on numerous customer engagements, where he delivered technical presentations, Proof-of-Concepts (POC) or Proof-of-Technology (POT) sessions and demonstrated IBM software solutions such as WebSphere Portal Server (WPS), IBM Lotus Web Content Management (ILWCM), Lotus Connections, Lotus Notes, Lotus Sametime, and Lotus Live. While working on these opportunities, Rainier Varilla developed contacts with the customer's business and IT leaders in order to gain insight into their business needs and pains, as well as to obtain a thorough understanding of their technical environment. Rainier Varilla also worked closely with individual contributors at customer sites to make recommendations, resolve open issues, and escalate through the customer management chain to demonstrate business need and solution alternatives.
