Selected Poems of Kong Rong

孔融，字文舉，是孔子二十世孫。漢末混亂，他曾先后在軍閥董卓和曹操控制的朝廷中任職。他不畏權(quán)貴，直言不遜，先是被董卓從朝廷遷出，最終因公開反對和譏諷曹操及其政令，與妻孥一起被曹操殺害。

Kong Rong (153—208), courtesy name Wenju, was the twentieth-generation grandson of Confucius. During the chaotic times at the end of the Han Dynasty, he served at the courts of warlords Dong Zhuo and Cao Cao, who had the monarchs under their control at different times. A straightforward and fearless person, he repeatedly offended Dong Zhuo and Cao Cao with his outspoken criticism of them. He was f irst sent away from court by Dong Zhuo, and eventually was executed, along with his wife and children, by Cao Cao because of his public criticism and ridicule of Cao Cao and his policies.
