4.4　Base Plate

4.4.1　The setting，size and installation accuracy of equipment base plate shall meet the requirements of design documents and，if no design requirements available，they shall meet relevant requirements of current national standard GB 50231 General Code for Construction and Acceptance of Mechanical Equipment Installation Engineering.

4.4.2　When the base plate is installed using the bed-mortar method，the strength of bed-mortar concrete after 48h shall reach the design strength of the foundation concrete.The bed-mortar block strength test report shall be checked batch by batch.

4.4.3　If the grinding method is used，the laitance coating on the surface where the base plate is installed shall be removed thoroughly，and the part where the base plate is laid shall be processed until the base plate meets the levelness requirements and evenly contact with the foundation.

4.4.4　Where flat base plate and inclined base place form a base plate group，the inclined base plate shall be placed on the flat base plate to be used in pair.Each group should not consist of more than 5 plates.

4.4.5　After treatment of base plates，the contact between base plates and between base plate and equipment base shall be good.Checked with a feeler gauge，the local clearance shall not be more than 0.1mm，and contact area shall not be bigger than 70%.
