Foreword

This code is developed by Sinopec Tenth Construction Company in cooperation with Sinopec Fourth Construction Company，Sinopec Fifth Construction Company and Wison Engineering Ltd based on the requirements of Document Jian Biao［2006］No.136 issued by original Ministry of Construction（MOC）-Notice on Printing the Development and Revision Plan of National Engineering Construction Standards（2nd Group）in 2006

In preparing this code，the development team made special studies，carried out extensive investigations，summarized the practices in petrochemical project construction in recent years，followed the guiding principles of Segregating Inspection and Assessment，Strengthening Quality Examination and acceptance，Improving Work Methods and Well Controlling Work Procedures，requested and consolidated comments from engineering design，construction and supervision services in a variety of ways，discussed the main issues and concerns focused，and reviewed and finalized this code.

This code comprises 12 chapters and 2 appendices.The main technical contents in this Code include:general provisions，terms，basic requirements，piping class，acceptance for piping materials，piping fabrication，piping welding，piping installation，piping weld examination and inspection，piping test，piping cleaning and technical documents of construction completion.

The provisions printed in bold type are compulsory and must be enforced strictly.
